I'd try the flat base, it should be shorter, length is the deciding factor. Buy you are gonna be on the edge for a 60!

The 60 grain, Sierra Varminter, Flat Base HP, shoots pretty Well, in my 1-14 twist .22-250 Rem. with IMR 4350 Powder, of all things !
Stay under .800 in Length for, any 55 or, 60 grain Bullet that, you may want to, Try ( espec., the Boat Tails ).
Bullets that, Shoot Well in my 1-14 twist,.. 50, 52, 53 gr. Sierra's. And the 52 and 55 gr. Var / Targ.,.. Bergers.
F-Base 55's from, Sierra or Hornady. BUT, my "Main-Stay Bullets" are, the Boat Tail 52 gr. ELD-M's or 50 gr. V-Maxes.
Both are, Extremely Accurate and Explode Sage Rats, in my Scope,.. IF, the Velocity is Kept, Under, 3,600 FPS,..
In my Braked, sub. 8 Pound, 24" Medium wt. Barreled, "Sporter", Rem 700
