22lr match reamer selection

So....

I like to experiment, but I don't see the need to waste time unnecessary.
Planning to purchase a CZ 452 or 455 action for a .22lr and plan to experiment with barrels and chambering.
I have a bentz reamer that I've used for a small number of single shots. Thinking about venturing into a match chamber.
If any of you don't mind sharing, what do you look at in a .22lr match chamber reamer?
There is not much information available that I've been able to find on the net. Most published media speaks little to any on the subject.

Thanks for looking.

I have used a Bentz, and a SAAMI Match reamer. The SAAMI Match gave very good results(consistent 7/8"-5/8"@100yds in a hunting rifle with SK Standard.)
However, its steep leade angle(5°) means that a lot more material is being displaced when engraving. Getting a loaded round out of the chamber is iffy, even with the extractors set up fairly aggressively.
It was all I could find at the time, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it. A 2.5° or less leade angle sounds like the ticket.

Hey, anybody interested in a SAAMI Match reamer? Lightly used, excellent condition!;)

Most BR rifles are using some sort of straight side chamber somewhere between 0.2250 - 0.2265" diameter with either 1.5 or 2 degree leade. If you plan to shoot any ammo lesser than Lapua C-X or Midas / Eley team/match/tennex then you should definitely go to the larger side of things there. With a CZ in all reality as long as the chamber is straight and there is engraving present, you will probably not see any difference in performance to just running in that bentz reamer short enough to get reasonable engraving vs buying a new reamer unless you just really want to. Especially if you want to magazine feed the rifle. Mag feeding can definitely be done on the tighter chambers but I see no benefit in extra fiddling around there in reality.

95% of the whole deal is to just have an acceptable amount of engraving, straight in, and a clean enough leade to not be messing up the bullet. There is not much magic to be had in chamber dimensions.

My BR rifles use 0.2250" reamers with either 1.5 or 2 degree leade depending on bore dimensions. It will not fit ammo like CCI standard or similar.

I think this is a very good idea.

Bentz for auto's. 'Calfee', .225 straight with a 2 deg leade for bolt guns. Ground as a 'throater' to save a bit of money. Held that 'short' to experiment with Shorts for awhile.

I have both a 1.5 an 2 degree. My thought is if your jammed .090" or more, the lead angle never sees the ogive of the bullet. Does the 2 degree have a little higher start pressure? Probably but its not much based on my cf testing.
