Is the 22br a over bore? And which has a better barrel life, the 22br or the 6br?

A friend has both and a bore scope. It is as you would expect; the 6 has the advantage in visible alligatoring at a given number of rounds. As to whether the .22 BR is "over bore" that is a relative thing, compared to a 22-250, or a Swift, no, but compared to a duce or a .223..... It is a very efficient cartridge, if you need the velocity range that it is capable of, but nothing is for free. As the sign behind the counter at the speed shop said, " Speed costs money. How fast do you want to go?"
