22BR with Sierra 52-53gr bullets

I just switched barrels from a 6BR to a 22BR. The 22BR is a 14 twist, and 22" long. Just a short range shooter.
I'm wanting to know what, if any powders would work better than the rest. Alot of folks really praise the V-N135 for the 6BR. It shot well or me, alot of powders shot well or me in that barrel. RL-10x seemed to allow me to do my best though.

I printed off "alot" of loads from "load data" on the 22BR. It seems that AA-2015 and RL-7 are a pretty popular powder. I'm also wondering if there is a certain velocity window that I should shoot for to get me in the ball park. Again it's a 22" barrel.

I just thought I would throw these questions out there while my neck bushings are in the mail. Any help or suggestions would be a "good thing"...

Thanks..........tootalloutdoors

I shoot the same load of VV135,32gr) in both my 6mmbr and 22br. Both are very accurate. I also use the 53gr Sierra Match bullet in the 22br.

O.K.... Thanks folks. I've got alot of different powders from shooting my 6BR. Seems I have a habit of always trying different loads. Even though I had numerous excellent ones already. Something tells me I've still got that habit. Maybe it will fade as I become more experienced. I find it extremely interesting. And shooting for me is somewhat therapudic. Maybe it would help settle my frustration level at work, maybe I should start wih just doing some "mental visualizations" first.:D
That was a "joke" everybody.

Seriously though. Do any of you folks just "have" to keep trying different combinations???

Thanks again..... tootalloutdoors
