22BR Cases Won’t Come Out

They make different sized reamers on the .200 line. Just because it was made for Lapua brass doent mean it is not too tight. Matt

Can you elaborate on that? I’m not sure what .200 line means.

I sent a dummy round in to have the reamer made. The first 50 cases I used ejected and extracted fine. After switching to new brass is when the problem started so it THINK the reamer is right.

But if you could explain your post I’d appreciate it!

Thank you.

All bets are off if youre not full length sizing. No matter what cases or reamer you use you WILL have brass troubles if only neck sizing. It usually only takes a few firings then your brass gets too tight

The. 200 line is .200 ahead of the case head. It is what reamer makers use as a reference to diameter of reamers. I would of kept that SAAMI. If you sent a new case it was maybe small and if they measured and made the reamer fit that it could be too tight. Some guys tighten them up to keep pockets tight. It usually needs a custom die then or you get bolt click and extraction problems. A Small base die may take care of it. The die must touch and size the case at the .200 line or you will have trouble.

Maybe when you get the full length die it will take care of it. I was just explaining what can happen and if you have a chamber to die mismatch. Matt

Thank you!

I will have to measure this.

Appreciate it!

Yeah i would totally work up new brass, FL size, run the case mouths over a mandrel, check dimensions and neck turn if needed. maybe neck turn anyway to clean up and make them consistent. Flash holes, primer pockets, chamfer case mouth, etc
Any brass you are shooting in your rifle which has been fired in another must be FL sized. Adjust your dies to get the sizing needed to match your chamber. and clean the chamber really well. make sure it is smooth and not marred, pitted, or it will definitely have friction.

fun though, it would be boring if they all shot perfect and down the middle. ( well that might be cool for a while but would get old)
