I'm all set to ream a new Schneider barrel in 22BR. It is a 10 twist in anticipation of using the Nosler Ballistic Tip Lead Free and or the Barnes Varmint Grenade. These two bullets seem to be the most available in the central part of CA where they are required. I do have a box of 43 gr Speer TNT Green but have not seen the new Hornady bullet yet.
Anyway, has anyone found a combination that works well in the 22BR with the copper bullets? I'm starting with Lapua brass, have Federal match and Remington match primers along with a good supply of CCI regular small rifle starters.
Any ideas would be appreciated and used with an abundance of caution (start 2 grains lower) as Schneider recommends to do so as they say that they seal (bullet to rifling) better than most.
I'm looking forward to testing this blaster and then creating some technicolor in the field.
