Myself is a large part of it, I’ll admit that. Im using a cheap rest as well, can’t expect competition level results using a financially embarrassed level rest.
I did try another round of 69gr smk with h4350 and n135. Also tried the 80.5gr with n135.
Managed a .297” group with n135/69gr smk. The h4350/69gr smk managed a .322” group. It was a struggle, I caught myself flinching, couldn’t settle down, and getting more po’d by the second, etc. Was not my day, lol. My other groups weren’t worth measuring, it was that bad. But, I finally broke under .300”. Can’t be too upset.
I haven’t looked at how to properly measure groups, I just go by what the calipers say.
I did turn one neck the other day, it evened the thickness out as it should. Then I remembered why I don’t fool with that anymore. What a pain, lol.
