22BR 1:8T info needed

G'day all,
I've got a new 22BR 0.254"neck 1:8T krieger palma profile 29" Krieger chambered up on my BR rifle (Bat DS LBRPLE) as a LV and was after first hand experience for load data for either BR use in very crappy & windy conditions as well as f class/ LR BR out to say 6-800yds.

Please note: where I shoot the wind comes straight from the Antartic-Southern ocean and hits landfall about 200m away form the target line! holding off the paper in BR at 200yds is not unusual and requires a steady nerve!

I plan to shoot 80gn Berger Vld's in BR and SMK/nosler/amax's in f class until the barrel is shot out then 75amax's for varminting in a shortened 26" tube.

Any first hand experience of loads with either varget or H4350 would br greatly appreciated. Please include seating depths and primers

thanks in advance,

Cheerio Ned

This may not be overly helpful, but the powder that gives me the absolute best accuracy and velocity is the discontinued Scott Brigadier 4351. The case is Lapua 6mmbr, the primers are CCI BR4 and the COL will be individual. The load behind a Nosler 80gr CC is over 32gr, quite a bit actually. Velocity is over 3140FPS and accuracy is < 1" @ 440yd. Ive got a moderate amt of this powder left and am sorry its D/Cd. The load is quite warm but not excessive, cases are lasting forever. Ive tried VV N150 and its not bad but not as good as the Scott. Ther is some info on the 6mmbr.com site pertaining to the 22br w/ recommended loads. There is mention of the family- 4350 w/ the 80 gr bullets. Make sure your maximum case lenght is correct for the 22br version you have. Great shooting at 600yd, and useful for the occasional varmit.

31.2gr H4350 with 82gr bergers touching rifling works great in mine. Same load with 80SMK .010 off rifling works good too.

I just now posted this http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/22br-do-i-need-one.3943744/add-reply

Use a 4350 burn rate powder or R17 with the 75-80 class bullets.

I run 75 Bergers at 3250 with IMR 4350. Shots bug holes.
