.225 Winchester brass from .30-30 brass?

Has anyone made .225 Winchester brass from .30-30 brass? I don't know why but it seems that Winchester quit making the .225 brass and It's almost impossible to find any. I believe that RCBS has the dies for this procedure, but I was wondering if any of you have created your own brass with this procedure. That's what I'm interested in doing.
Thanks,
Darryll

Winchester makes some ever now an then but before you go to all the trouble making your own I would contact JD Jones at SSK Industries and see if they have any. A number of his JDJ wildcat rounds are created off of the 225 Winchester round so they might have a stash. I have a small personal stash because I have a T/C Contender barrel that I got in a estate sale that someone had custom made that is 14" and chambered in 6mm-225 which drives an 80 gr bullet 2800 fps and is very accurate. Good luck in your quest.

Don't do it! 30/30 brass is very week at the base. It will separate with the pressure of the 225. You can reform 375 Win brass, it is strong enough. However, I have 2 boxes of new unfired brass I will sell you. PM me. Bill

I know this is old thread but I was using Winchester 30/30 brass just because it was as thick as the win 225 brass in the web and pocket area .
I've since found some newer 225 brass and its thinner tha either the 30/30 win or older 225 .
Starline will be checked next . I use a lot of 30/30 brass for a number of Ackley wildcats and wasps
