Some groundhogs took up residency under some buildings behind work and they like to munch on clover then eventually make it to the garden. So the bossman said I could "pip em". I said o.k. I'll bring my pippin stick to work. Under these particular circumstances, I didn't want to shoot the hpbtm bullets I have worked up, and wanted something more frangible, because the shots would be under 100 yards, and I wanted the bullets to not deflect and carry on, should I miss. I loaded some Speer 52gr. fbhp "trash cans" with a mild dose of N140 (those primer pockets thank me) and w/o testing any I figured I would just aim a tick high, that it should be close enough. It worked. Both shots only 40 yards give or take a step or two. Moral of the story, for close work those cheaper "trash cans" do a mighty fine job.
