224 valkyrie upper

I'm looking for member's
experience for a quality complete target upper. Already have lower.
Thanks

Bought one off a fellow member on a statewide site. Can't recall the make of the upper, but it's a Faxon barrel. Once I found the recipe, it shoots quite nicely.

I have a 24" 6.5 twist to shoot he heavies in a Select Match barrel. If I had to do it all over I again I wouldn't change. You can find a lot of information on Mike (Dtech) on Predator Masters forum.

Not sure which lower you have but I put mine on an Aero precision and it fit perfectly.
I have a cmmg

I have a cmmg but they discontinued the upper

I have a barrel from Dtech that I built my upper around, and it is an absolute hammer.

I just ordered another from them a couple weeks ago, I'm a fan.

I'm happy to hear you like your 224 valkyrie. As you may remember, we corresponded in the 6.5 prc when it first came out and I value your opinion.
Sounds like Dtech is the way to go. I plan to use the heavy 77-90 gr bullets for targets and steel. What powder, brass, primers, bullets are you using?

Hey Bill, yes I remember our PRC conversations.

One correction though, my AR barrel is not a Valkyrie, it's actually Dtech's version of the 6.8 SPC case necked down to 22 with a slight angle change on the shoulder to 30* from 23.

Current load shoots 52 grain Bergers at 3550 in a 20" tube with outstanding accuracy.

Coyotes are in trouble this fall......o_O

One of my buddies got the Windham Weaponry complete gun. I've shot it a fair amount and worked on load development with him. It likes the 88gr ELD-M and would consistently shoot .75 moa, but that was the only promising load. We tried several other bullets that seemed to double the group size or worse.

Thank you

I assembled 2, 224V uppers with stoner 22" barrels, both are accurate, both made for coyotes and 60g to 75g bullets.
The guys I did em for are happy.
