I've found the amax thrives on velocity. My dad uses them from a 22-250 at 3700.

Coyotes are DRT out to 400 yards frequently and he hasn't lost any with that setup. I think the 53 VMax might help you out but in my experience with that bullet going 3085 it always exits coyotes and doesn't kill cleanly.

I'd rather use a match hollow point.

I have always had better luck with the nbts on everything bigger than groundhogs. The first three quarters of them blow up but I usually find the bases of them. Explosive hits and enough penetration!!

Give them a try you will like them. I have always had good results with them. As always some barrels will do better with them than others. But when you get them tuned you will really like there performance on game.
