224 40 gr verses 50 gr?

Which 22 cal bullet acually is the better performing bullet out to say 300 to 350 yards? I like the 40 gr for the speed it gets but is there really any atvantage over the 50 gr. This would be a 40 gr at 4000 and 50 gr at 3700 out of a 22 BR.
This rifle will be used mostly for P-dogs.

Not a spit worth of difference between them. Drop and drift are almost the same.

You'll get lots more air time with the 40's, but I would shoot what shot the best...
The 40 grain Ballistic Tip is a sure enough performer..
