Does the 223WSSM share the same accuracy characteristics as the 22BR? The reason i ask such a question has to do with the short fat case. It seems to me that the short fat cases are ore accurate by design as opposed to standard rifle case design. You hear a lot about the 6BR being extremely accurate because of it design. Will the 223WSSM be more accurate by design as apposed to a standard 223? I hope you are understanding what i am asking here. Thanks Lee

No, 223wssms in standard form will not be as accurate as 223Rems -in numbers. Many reasons for this, among them;
-Way more power than needed for precision paper punching
-Necks are way too thick to produce low ES needed for consistency.
-Barrel life too short to take advantage of one that happens to do well despite the odds.
-It would take more than standard efforts to get one shooting well,outside of blind luck). Things like larger diameter barrels to get enough meat around the chambers. And neck turning is a must here.

It isn't case design that makes a 6br work. It's case capacity for cal, given bullets & powders available.
Wherever near this ratio, you'll find popular cartridges.
Go extreme away from it, and the crowd thins out.

Winchestor should have started their WSSM line upward from 25cal. They should have produced WSSM brass, rather than forming from WSM brass. But they seem to assume marketing would trump reason...
