223 vs 223ai velocity gain?

an old subject , however, new question to me, been shooting 22-250 55's at 3725 with lots of good results pding.

just came into position of a Rem 700 bdl, 26" fluted bbl which seems to have a HS precision stk or one very similar. "new" is a good description. I believe 12 twist so there we are

I am getting 3550 from 50 sbk / 3325 from 55's and good accuracy, what would you expect if I run an AI reamer in, I may want to drop the 22-250 to save powder etc, so I wonder just how much I might expect from the AI reamer and switch to the new rifle.

You'll probably gain a decent amount of speed, say 100-150 fps. But more importantly, you will be able to push the upper speed limits with the AI and still have good brass life.

thanks BigDMT,

I have looked at the load data on the 223 page and I don't think their numbers are from 26"bbl because of the velocities I am getting and say, those Sierra suggests. so I was open to info like yours from those who have made the change.
