223 Rem for 600 yard F-Class ???

Hello everybody,

Newbie here. Has anyone use a 223rem for 600 yards shoot? I have a VS and the heaviest bullet it will shoot is the 60g V-Max.
I realize there's better cartrige out there for such work, especially after reading your posts, but it's what I have on hand so any inputs will be much appreciated.

Thanks for your time

81,
People shoot the .223 all the time at 600 yards. Sling up and give it a try. Have you tried the 69 grain Match Kings in your gun? Just a thought.

Welcome
Chuck

You will probably have some trouble staying accurate at 600 with a 60 v-max, in particular if it is windy. As Chuck noted, the 69s will work a-ok, but I doubt you can stabilize them from the 1-12 twist barrel of your VS.
