.223 Rem & 90gr bullets ?

Wondering if anyone has tried 90gr Berger VLD, I have a 1/7 twist in a 40x Hart Barrel, 80 gr Sierra's work great, any load suggestions would be nice

you could try it but i would really tend to doubt that you will be able to get them to stabalize. like always just got to try them
 
I tested the new Berger 90 grain bullets out of a Savage 1:7 twist barrel and got very good results at 200 yards - under 1/2". So I would say the twist is fine for the bullet depending on the gun and what velocity you were getting.

I use the Berger 90 VLD bullets exclusively in my Holliger Space gun. It has a Krieger 28" barrel and a 1 in 6.5 twist. I use Varget powder, Remington 7 1/2 primers and Lake City cases.

I moly coat my bullets. I was disappointed that Berger stopped moly coating this bullet so I started doing it myself!!!

Berger says at least a 1 in 7 twist. You should try some they be just the ticket for your rifle.
