223 lapua brass necked down to 222

I got a new 222 match chamber reamer and come with the neck was .036 longer than the std 222 . so I had some 223 lapia match brass that I necked down to 222 to have a longer neck ,the necks are now .030 longer . Becase It would have made a longer carbon ring in my chamber that I didn't want . I formed it with a Redding trim die , run the brass thru a Redding bushing die , then a expander die , turned the necks to .012 , annealed the brass , and debured case mouth . Today I loaded the rounds and I noticed that some of the bullets seated harder than some of the others ( using Berger 52 match bullets ) , I would think they would feel about the some when setting the bullets beings I mic everyone . This is for fire forming only so not to worried about that till my next loading .

Could some of the brass be a little thicker in the neck, even though you trim to .012 and thus casing a little harder seating of the bullet ? Just a thought. might need some reaming. Or does that make sense ?

((Just a thought. might need some reaming.)) I may ream after fire forming ,just have to see .

after anealing did you brush inside the necks? and did you use any lube?

Are the bullets just harder to start or harder to press all the way?

You didn’t mention a chamfer on the inside of the neck, even reaming wouldn’t really do that. small flat base bullets need all the help they can get.

Harder to press in . I debured ( chamfer ) the case for the flat base bullets . After I fire from them I will anneal again and see if that helps .
Trying to get everything the same ,trying to get 5 shots in the same hole like I can my 6 br .
