223 bushing

I'm going to get a Redding FL sizer with neck bushing to control neck tension.

I'm loading for two, 223s. One is a R700 223 Wylde and the other will be an AR15 WOA 223 Wylde.

I usually set the neck tension on my bolt rifles to be .002" But, I've never loaded for an AR so would that be sufficient or should I go .003" on it?

Both the Lapua and Starline brass comes out to .250" loaded, so I figured I'd for sure get the .248" bushing. Those cases are for the R700.

Waiting on the 1x fired Federal 223 brass for the AR to see what those loaded rounds come out to before I order the bushing for it.

kyote,

I've loaded 80gr. SMKs for both a Remington bolt gun and a Rock River 24" gas gun. I used the same loads for both guns, since both have the Wylde chamber. The loads have around 0.003" neck tension, but I don't have any problem adding a slight taper crimp to the loads. The rounds will work in either gun if body sized correctly.
