222 Remington 44 gr. lead bullet loads

Presently I am using 10 gr's of SR4759 using the Lyman 44 gr. gas checked bullet. Does anyone here have a pet load that works well?

Matt Anthony....I don't have have any experience with lead bullets,except for handguns & my Sharps. I did load some .223's with 6.0gn of Unique and 45gnJSP bullets with very satisfactory results(.5"-.6" grps @ 100yds). Velocity was abt 2,000fps. Good luck.

I've been shooting cast bullets in 222 Remington since 1958 and have all of the old Lyman cast bullets manuals plus the newest. I was simply wondering what loads other shooters had good luck with. I have sixteen 22 caliber molds from 4 different mold makers and have experimented for years with many, many powders.
Just wondering why someone would reply if they were not shooting 222 Remington as my question was directed to that caliber! Answering without an answer is waste of time in my book.

Matt Anthony....I replied to offer an idea about powder and load. If I had known you had 54 years experience and 16 moulds,I would not have replied at all. I'd think with that much time and effort you'd have found a "pet" load. Sorry to bother you.....good luck.

It appears I may of asked too much for the forum as two answers I received directed me to the Lyman Manual. I didn't ask for ideas and I didn't ask for advice nor did I ask for manual reference. I asked specifically if someone was shooting 222 Remington using the Lyman 44 gr. cast bullet and if they had a pet load. That's it, that's all I asked and now I pissed you off! Incredible, simply incredible! I still don't understand why another poster would post "I agree" to the first poster. Do they work in teams here and just want to see how many posts they can tally up!

Well, I still would like to hear from 222 Remington buffs who do have a pet load. And for all who shoot 222 Remington, N133 powder is extremely consistant along with H322, Benchmark, 335 and the old standby, either 4198 in H or IMR using jacketed bullets. My pet load is the Sierra 1410 52gr. HPBT over 23.8 gr's of H322 and using Rem 7 1/2 primers. This is a hot load without any primer/case concerns in one of my 40X's and prints one hole groups at 100 yards.

Did you even understand the question? Your answer to my question was down right dumb and a waste of time! Worry not, I am leaving this forum as fast as I came in due to stupidity that was showered upon me by you and gatorboy or whatever his name is.
