.222 bullet seating depth ?

Working with my McGowan barreled Rem 722. Wondering how others seat their bullets.
Using 55g Berger FB, 52 gr Berger FB and 52 gr SMKs. I have worked up the seated depth to the lands for all three. How far off the lands (or to the lands) did you find that sweet spot of accuracy?

Roger

I generally found that 53 gr. SMKs shot well .006 into the rifling. Experimenting with powders and primers also improved results. One of my rifles likes 748 and gave more velocity with it than the manuals predicted. In the books it looked too slow. I use Federal small rifle primers.

My 50gr FB Jayners happen to shoot best 10thou off, with a Cooper chamber(223Rem). This was found with full seating testing (Berger's recommended). You'll need to do this testing to find best as well.
