.222-45 load help

I just got a 222 x 45 which is a 222 Rem Mag Ackley Improved from what I was told. Any experience with this cartridge?

It is a sweet rifle - Stolle Teddy action in a Kelblys thumbhole stock with a 2 oz Shilen trigger and a big fat stainless barrel. I am anxious to see what it can do. I am the 2nd owner and it is supposed to have less that 100 rounds down the tube.

Re: 22 x 45 load help

Maybe it should be called 222 Rem Mag Ackley Improved.

The cases I got are 222 mag with the shoulder blowed out to 45 degrees.

I got brass and Wilson dies but no loading info. The guy I got the gun from thinks it is stashed somewhere. He sold the gun for somebodey else that moved out of state.

I am just anxious to see what it will do. :)

(I updated the original post, sorry about the typo)

You can use 222 mag. data and if the shoulder is blown out you can go over max. loads about 3% as that is the increase in case volume from imp. the round.

Check P.O. Ackley's Handbook for Shooters and Reloaders. There are two volumes and I am out of town so can't tell you which one or both. The data is also listed on Loaddata.com but requires a paid membership.
