Often wondered just what one of these guys would do with 69grainers out to 500ish on PD's. Just checked and they'll fit a std. magazine even with the 80 ELD-M no problem.

I think for the readily available, inexpensive brass I'd personally opt for a straight up .223 upper if you really wanted to shoot them at 500 yards...the extra oomph would be welcomed...

sounds interesting......I'd stay with 50-53's boolits with a plastic tip & lighter jacket...
