22 wildcats

Im new here but have read enough to know there are quite a few guys on here that have a 22 wildcat of some kind. I was wondering what the difference in peformance there is between the different 22-6mms, 22-243s, 22-284 and the 22-47. Im looking to build a hunting rifle not a bench gun. any input would be great.
Thanks

hard to beat a 22BR pr 22Dasher for better accuracy and gives up nothing in velocity to a 22-250. Either cartridge is great, easy to load, easy to tune.

Jeremy, the big cases necked down to 22 are going to cause short barrel life. I had a 22-243 some years ago and after 500 rounds, the accuracy fell off substantially. The 22BR or Dasher would give you long barrel life and are super accurate rounds, and matches 22-250 velocity with less powder. The Dasher has to be fire-formed but the 22BR is much simpler--just neck down the 6BR to 22 cal., load it and shoot it.
