Considering cutting my .223 down to accommodate my suppressor length. Any idea on velocity loss with 62 to 75 grain bullets? Thanks guys.

Thanks Doug, I think I can live with that. The convenience of having a much handier compact rifle will be worth the trade off. Especially when the squirrels are charging!!Should be very close to 100 fps. If the 22” is unsuppressed, you’ll pick some of that lost velocity back up with the suppressor on the 18”.
The idea is they add barrel length. The gains are marginal. 10-15fps.OK, I have to bite here. Explain (in engineering terms) just how a suppressor speeds up a bullet.
This is very true. Usually about 15 fps. The gases are still contained within the suppressor so there is still a little pressure behind the bullet for the 6 inches of suppressor length. The idea is they add barrel length. The gains are marginal. 10-15fps.
