22 PPC

Anybody here do a 22 PPC? With BR brass extinct and 220 Russian plentiful, curious about this cartridge.

Would like to shot 90gr pills 3150ish

I shoot an early no turn 22PPC in 14 twist. No experience with those "modern" bullets though.

You can get Norma 22 PPC USA...not bad price either.

I like mine.

I am shooting the Norma 22 PPC American cases and they work great. Shooting 50 gr Berger HP Varmint/target at 3400 fps. Very effective on coyotes.

I am building a 22PPC with a 12 twist LILJA and will shoot 53gr VMAX. What would be a good load for this bullet ? What's your favorite recipe ? I will be shooting 40gr - 50gr - and mainly the 53gr VMAX .

Surely someone on this site has done a fast twist 22 PPC for the 90gr VLD’s. Hopefully someone will give us some insight on this.

Sounds like an awesome pd rig.My 22ppc is a Cooper and a 14 twist.I have just used it for our informal benchrest matches with N133 and 52 match bullets. With those awesome 53 V-Maxs I would try 8208,Start at 27.5 and work up safely.

I have read that BR brass will be once again available early this year.I would be tempted to hold out for a BR variant or maybe a 22x47L,22-250
to achieve the speed you are wanting with a 90.

I have a 22PPC that I assembled with a Stiller single shot Predator action and a 24" Pac-Nor 1:12 twist Barrel.
Here is my load info: Avg 3394fps With SD=8fps
Hornady 53 Grain V-Max Bullet # 22265 BC = 0.290
LOAD DATA
CASE:
Norma 22PPC USA
PRIMER: Fed GM205M
POWDER: IMR 2808XBR 28.8grn

I just bought a Sako AI 22PPC. I'm picking up the assorted brass and ammo on Thursday. I'll play with it awhile. My first single shot boltgun. It will be wearing a Leupold 6.5x20 in oem high rings. I'm not sure the quantity of components, so I may be on the hunt for new brass as well.

I picked up the brass today. A hundred rounds, all loaded- 80 of it is Sako brass, 20 newer Norma. All of it in plastic 20 round cases for 50 bucks. I'm okay with that, ;)
