22 pistol yard work

I bet that got your attention. In western WA we have a problem with SLUGS. This time of year the young have hatched, or whatever, and they are mostly about 2“-3” long. Later they will get to be 5”-6” long. They don’t have any natural predators in the area, ducks and geese will eat them, so I either have to pick them up or poison them. Non of those options are very appealing. I deal with them differently. A good 22 pistol, suppressor and red dot. I use a Taurus tx-22 comp. With sparrow suppressor and true glow 2 min. Red dot. I just came in from one of my slug safaris. Got over 100 of these critters. this is my kind of yard work. They explode when hit and once they get bigger they flip head over heals like a rock chuck hit with a high velocity 6mm bullet. So come 5 or 6 pm I’m outside doing yard work.

Sounds like great practice to me. I don't know whether to be happy I don't have such pests in my yard or jealous of the big opportunity for practice, lol.

so this is how you fertilize the yard.?

Without a doubt this is the most fun I’ve had maintaining my lawn and garden. And to think I used to hate yard work. Pictures would be good but there’s not much left to take a picture of.

you can trap them by placing beer in a saucer and leaving it on the ground
That method would attract a bunch of homeless here....free beer.

This is the type of pests we have here. Another perfect candidate for that 22LR pistol and HP's:

Ever see what one of these boys can do to your lawn or garden? It ain't pretty. But they don't 'splode like a nice fat slug!

Not so sure that I would want to mess with a badger if only armed with a .22lr. One question. When you walk do they "clank"?
