IMO for the money the Savage heavy barrel rifles are hard to beat. My BTVLSS (lefty) has put 10 rounds in just over .4 o/s at 50 yards with CCI SV and will shoot cheap Federal American Eagle almost well. It was almost $440 out the door, the scope is a Mueller 4.5-14 APT. Nothing fancy just a good shooting rifle.
