22 Hornet - 77gr SMK

A friend of mine is thinking of a 1/7 twist 22 Hornet, for shooting 77gr SMK bullets Subsonic, from a 14" TC Contender.
Anyone ever do anything like like this? How did it do?

checkthe IHMAS pages, a lot of hornet and heavy bullet shooter ins field pistol. Call Sierra and ask for Carrol Pillot or Dave Brown, Carrol shoots this game.

Ihad a 9 twist made for IHMSA. Shot the 69 SMK and did well with it. Should work.

The 1x7" should do fine with the 77s, but the 1x9" won't come close. Probably be fine for the 69s, but the 77s are considerably longer, and won't work out of a full size 223 rifle with a twist this slow. Lot of bullet for such a small case, be curious to hear what you get out of this combination.
