22 GT Twist rate

Hi there can any of the members tell me what twist rate will I need for
88 ELDM and 90g Atip , and what freebore . Using new Lapua brass . And will
I need to go 219 bore instead of 218 . 24" tube thanks in advance, Lee

JGS offers freebore options of .770, .120, .160, and .169 Manson suggest.169 for the projectiles that you are interested in

Hi Lee, you will want to.169 freebore & .219bore. 8twist will be fine or If you are concerned get a 7.5.

Are you ordering the reamer from Manson your self or through a gunsmith?

PM if you’d like as there isn’t any 22GT reamer in the UK yet and I’d be very interested if you did get a reamer… saves me ordering.

I have two reamers. 50 and 170. 170 would be ideal for the bullets mentioned. An 8 twist would work quite well.
