22 Grendel-anyone shooting one in Competition?

Pretty similar charge weights to a 22BR and my 28" barrel will reach 3300fps with the 85.5 Berger.

If I had started with a PPC bolt face, I would have gone with a 22 Grendel instead. I think approx 30gns of powder is a great place to be for a 22.

No experience with the .22 Grendel, but I'm a really big fan of the 6.5 Grendel and 6 ARC. If it is as impressive as its bigger brothers, I sure it will be a barn burner!

I have a friend who has a howa mini chambered in 22 grendel he shoots across the course out to 600 and does real well with it.

James Coffey has and does shoot one and does very well with it. He has shot it many times at Hawks Ridge at a IBS 1000yd match and also at Piedmont at a 600yd match.
He mainly shoots 80gr bullets on his.

I am running 88gr Hornady ELD's out of a 24" Barrel at 2950fps on one rifle and 3000fps out of another rifle. 80.5gr Berger's out of a Gas Gun at right under 3000fps as well. So I have three of them total. One Howa Mini Action bolt gun, the other a Borden Super Six, and an AR 15 with 26" barrel Match Rifle.
Hope this helps.

Russ what is your powder of choice in the bolt rifles?
Or maybe the top three in decending order?

I agree with the 30gr statement that @Evan made:

I'm running a .220 Thunderbolt (6mm Hagar necked down to .224)....with an 88gr ELD-M I'm getting 3100fps with just under 30gr of Varget - bolt gun with 26in barrel Same load with 80gr Nosler CC's was running about 50-60fps faster.

With Varget being tough to get I've found some W748 that I'm going to use to make a 200 yard Standing/Sitting load for XTC comps. I want to try a lighter bullet like the 68/69 or 75gr.

These mid sized 22cal rifles are fantastic - feeding is the only real issue that I've noticed. You've either gotta have actions/magazines sized for the round like @Rtheurer mentioned above, or like me you have to use a standard length action and tweak your mags slightly.
