Howdy !

I shot a wildcat of my own design, that has case capacity very close to that of a notional
" .22 Creedmoor ". For my wildcat, I necked-down .35 Remington to .224" calibre.

For me second " .22-35 Remington " barrel, I chambered it in a 28" SS K & P 1-8
5-groove.

My favorite accuracy / field load was 40.5gr AA3100 and FED LR Match under Hornady 75 "A"-Max; for 3,420 fps. Not a maximum load, but it was hyper accurate and gave great terminal performance on groundhogs. Primer switch to FED Large Magnum Rifle Match gave 3,500fps; w/ a slight opening up of groups.

For a temp stable powder available these days, 6.5 StaBal data looks good for 55-70gr bullet weights in .22-250 & .220 Swifts w/ 24" barrels. The longer 28" barrel might bias the choice more towards the newer 6.5 StaBal HD, as Hodgdons lists only the 6.5StaBal HD
version of that powder line for use under 77, 85.5; and 95gr bullet weights ( 24" barrels ).

I was happy w/ the results I got when shooting AA3100, but realized all along that it was not known to be " temp stable ".

I DK if this helps any ?

For their ".22 Creedmoor " load data in a 24" barrel....
Hodgdons only lists the 6.5StaBal HD version of that powder line, for use under 77, 85.5; and 90gr bullet weights ( 24" barrels ).

I apologize for the errors.
