.22 competition

I am having a competition.22 rifle built. Consists of a 2500x action, mueller barrel, and a Rotex stock. This will be for 50& 100yd. Need info on how to scope it. A Bushnell 5-30x56 has been recommended by a couple of people. Not sure which way to go. Any help would be appreciated thanks Nick

Thanks to all who replied. I’m looking at either a NF or a straight 45x power scope. Big difference. Not sure if a 45x will be enough at 100yds

45x Sightron Buy from Lance a member here for the best price
If you get a variable you can cut power back to lesson mirage when you need to --so you see more straight 45x on indoor rifles
We use and LOVE the Nightforce 12-42 BR series The double dot reticle is really sweet for rim fire targets
best price and Service on those are from Old Dominion Custom Rifles in VA.

At rimfire matches you see a mostly 15-60 scopes but I think many shoot on less than max power

Pick the reticle very carefully--many go with crosshairs with dot and some go no dot and many do the NF double dot--Be Aware that dot size can vary from .087-.187 give or take and can be a deal breaker so Look and be very careful with your selection

NF or Sightron in the 55's is what most use The newer S6 Sightrons are Super Crispy razor sharp but the regular units are very very good --resale value on either is very good so if you switch later there is not much penalty--they sell fast

Try a Vortex 15-60 for a lot less money. You would want a 1/8th MOA dot and 1/8th MOA Clicks.
Big Bucks Option: get a March 8-80X variable (I have one).
