Just looking for some info on these bullets. I understand they are probably thicker jacket, but what experience does anyone have with these bullets and varmints/coyotes?

Thanks for any and all info

I have 700 of them. It sounds like they are tougher than today's ballistic tip (at least on the front end). Is that right? Is it safe to assume similar to say a Hornady 52 bthp match with yotes?

I ran a few thousand of those into beldins squirrels through the 80s, did a super job popping those small rats out in N CA. When I lived there. Darn accurate.

They will shoot good for you.
I shot some of those, I liked the soft point 55 grain version better, they gave better expansion for me on ground hogs and foxes. Also shot the 6mm hollow point 70 grain version, they were very accurate but lacked good expansion also. Then the ballistic tips came along and their accuracy and performance was tough to beat.

How do the similar "christmas tree" red and green boxes of solid base ballistic tip shoot/perform. I've read elsewhere there was a time they were too explosive.

I used those in the 70,s in 22-250 for coyotes. They worked great and didn't blow big holes in pelts. I used 100 GR in 243. Shot 4 elk with them, 3 were 1 shot and flop. Hit a big cow in ribs. Hit rib going in and a rib coming out. Bullet was under hide on far side. Cleaned all meat off and it was 89 grains remaining weight. Wish they still made them. Toms.
