22 br

High velocities and high volumes equal set backs...:D

Phil.

Set-back-ability = room to maneuver down the road should you desire to AI - never say "never" ya know or set back or even rechamber, unless $$ be erupting from your pockets. If carry ability is a factor and you are a younger limber-back kinda dude, consider a hvy sporter. At least finish at 24", minimum imo.

I HAVE 28'' FOR THE BENCH AND A 18'' FOR CARRY AND LIKE THEM BOTH!!!!! THE 18'' HAS BEEN SET BACK A TIME OR TWO BUT IT STILL SHOOTS BUGHOLES

I have 22BR I use for Eastern ground hogs, coyotes and deer. 55g Nos BT, and 60g Nos Part for deer. It was a LV contour, had it cut back to 22 inches for manuevrability, have not regreded it an inch! If I had to walk more, I probably wish it were a Rem. Varmint countour or slightly smaller diameter. Samuel Hall
