22 BR Trim to length ?

While waiting on my 22 BR bbl. I thought I'd get some new Lapua 6 BR cases formed and trimmed. The 22 BR in the bulletin section says 1.520" , The few I formed measure 1.560 .

Better yet, measure the actual chamber length (when you get your hands on the barrel) so you'll know if and when you need to trim. My 6 BR and 22 BR chambers measure 1.580 so there's LOTS of room before you need to even think about trimming. Sinclair has the plugs to get those chamber measurements.
Use bushing bump dies and your brass won't grow. I have 22 and 6 BR brass with 20 to 25 + firings and still don't need trimming. YMMV.

Wait to make a cast!!! I got antsy, and trimmed some to the old speck, the finished chamber measured 1.590, so ............

So fireform your brass, FL resize and then measure to see if you need to trim. From your measurement, I doubt it or it'll be minimal.

Correct, no trimming was required. I had enough chamber length, that I would probably never trim!! Or seat a 50gr bullet to the lands, as my case was....
