22 br neck tension

Mt.Boy

Hello I have been pulling my hair out trying to get my new 22br to shoot better. My brass is all formed using Forster fl sizing die. After seating my bullet I am going from a .251 to a.252 neck some seem not to even go that much. Just wonder if more neck tension could help my groups out. Any advice is appreciated .

My 22Br shoots with very light tension. I run a 249 bushing and my loaded Lapua measures .2505 to .2510 with a light skim cut on the necks to even them out - which lines up with your .251-.252 numbers.

Maybe. Need more info about your load. Bullet, powder, in the lands, what size group do you have now?
I have tried Varget, H4350, Rl-17. With 80gr vlds 90vlds and 85.5 hybrid. Best load I got was 29.9 gr of Varget. With the 80 vld. Shoots 1/2 inch at 100 and 1 inch at 300 pretty consistent. Also just loaded a ladder test with 80 gr eld and 69 gr tmk with Varget to try.
