.22 B/R POWDER

Hi , advice please,

Any good powders out there for my .22 b/r , what do you use ???

Barrel is a Tru flite 1 in 9 twist 28" barrel chambered for shooting 75 amax .

I use H-4350 in my 9 twist when shooting the 75 grain A-max..

Benchmark is what I use with 80 gr SMK bullets. You can use Varget, IMR3031, ACC2460, Xterminator and H322.

H4350 in my 1:8 with 80s & 82s and it shoots 55BlKings real well with RE10X.

My .22 BR is set up with a 6.5" twist for shooting the 90 grain bullets. I have been using VVN550 with great results. I have also started testing with IMR-4895, and I will also be testing Ramshot Hunter. These last two powders were showing great potential with Quick Load simulations.

Don't overlook H380.............. A GREAT 22BR powder.

IMR 4007 shines along with Varget and Vit 140...

Also using VV 140 with 75 gr Bergers at 3200+

27.0 gr. N135 using 69 gr. Lapua bullets and FC small rifle match primers and Lapua brass gets me the smallest 200 yard groups so far in a Shilen Select match 1/9 - 26" barrel.

The absolute dynamite powder for 77 &80 gr is thye long discontinued Scott-Brigadier 4351. Ive found thta VV150 is usefull with those wgts and AA2520 deserves to be wrung out w/ lighter wgts. Havent tried H4350, but have heard that its good.

You might try Varget or 4350 , both of these powders are very efficient and give some of the lowest extreme spreads and standard deviations in 22BR . If you have the money , VV N-140 or N-540 also work very well . Bottom line it's brass , bullets , and your barrel that are going to give you those good groups . Enjoy !
