Longer gas tube on a ar15What is a +1 gas system
I have a 6mm arc rifle gas with adj gas block. Was a pain to get right, was told 22 arc is worse with rifle length gasId have pulled the trigger on a satern already but like you mentioned and everything ive read a +1 gas is important. Would an adjustable gas block negate the need for a +1? Any experience with the shaw barrels?
This is a cartridge geared toward precision shooting. Most people will be using a longer barrel with a heavier profile (larger diameter). It makes sense to use the larger diameter threading, which is less likely to adversely impact the accuracy of the barrel by unnecessarily thinning its diameter at the crown. The same deal with the 6ARC.Is there a reason all the 22ARC offerings have 5/8 threaded muzzles? Seems like .22cal is usually 1/2"...

This cartridge is not even on the shelfs. Currently, there is no ammo to be found on any store shelf for the 6ARC ... the 22ARC is 2nd in line. There will be limited offering for components, which is normal as evidenced by all new cartridge roll-outs over past 10 years. As the cartridge becomes more popular and more available (chicken-egg.. which came first) then I'm sure that you will be able to find 1/2"x28tpi barrels in every flavor. Based on roll-out of other cartridges, this usually takes 6-12 months before full ramp up by major manufacturers and specialty providers. These things take time for industry to scale up.
