.22 aluminum or composite stock for .22 3-p

My son shoots an anschutz 1907 with the adjustable wood stock. Been thinking about a change to aluminum to add other trinkets he wants, plus free up weight? Maybe on the weight. Currently at 13 pounds.looking at anschutz precise, but not much there for the money. Any suggestions? Also shoots smallbore silhouettes, looking for a stock for my anschutz 1416 for that, any suggestions? If i stay wood, would like a curly maple one. Ugly beechwood now, but functional, balance is not great though. What about peep sight magnification, anyone using, and is that legal in place of scope in 4-h shooting, seems as though it would be? They can only use through nine power
