22-250?

What do you guys think would be the heaviest bullet to shoot out of a 24" 22-250 with 1:12 twist? I have seen 22-250 available from 39 grain all the way up to 90 grain. Thanks in advance.

They are stating 60gr. You may be able to get something heavier but only trial would tell you.

If you want to shoot the heavy stuff you will need more twist.

I am curious as well, I just bought some 55 gr VMAX but the Berger twist calculator says it will barely stabilize the bullet. I'm shooting a Remington 700 with varmint barrel 1-12 twist. I have tried the Sierra 55 gr Blitzkings and they will not shoot in my gun. My thoughts were the flat based VMAX might.

I have a 14 twist Remington 22-250 and it will shoot most 55 grain bullets. If you are looking for a heavier bullet that will stabilize, my 14 twist really likes the 64 grain Winchester power point, try varget with the 60-64 grain bullets. Hornady also makes a 60 grain hollowpoint flat base that may be worth a try if you can find any.
Edit: the best 55 grain bullet n my 14 twist rem was a nosler varmageddon hollowpoint. They are cheap and they shoot great, h380 with 55s works well for me
