22 250 Trouble with Savage!

Hey,
So my brother just got a new Savage 22-250 12 FCV today and he went to try it, but just click. He tired it 5 times with 2 different kinds of bullets and still nothing but a click. There was no mark on the primer either.
Has anyone else experienced this with a brand new Savage?

Thanks!

The problem is probably the accutrigger not being pulled evenly. A friend of mine could not get his to shoot either. As a test set the gun in a rest and pull the trigger in the center all the way back. If your finger pulls any of the side of the trigger first it will sound like it should fire but the accutrigger has the saftey blocked

This sounds like what is going on to me.

This happened to my brother as well. Jesker hit the nail on the head in my brothers case. He had the trigger turned all the way down and was touching the black portion of the trigger with the blade of the accutrigger in the notch of the joint on his finger. He experienced over 5 in 10 "misfires" and wanted to send the rifle back. When I shot it it never skipped a beat and we figured out shortly what was going on. Make sure the blade in the center is pulled tight before touching the main trigger.

Just a trick to it. Have to pull the accutrigger just right before you touch the regular trigger. He has it all figured out now and the gun shoots great.

Thanks for all the help everyone!
