22-250 loads for 80 grain bullets

I finally have gotten my 26" 22-250 8" twist barrel on. I did buy this as a used barrel and the guy I got it from had been using 2000MR powder. I can not find any at all I have his load recipies for that powder but since I can not get any....

I have Varget and IMR4064

I am going to go look for some H/IMR 4350 and H/IMR 4831 or Superperformance. What are yall loading with and how much?

The Hodgdon/IMR/Winchester load data only covers up to the 70 grain bullets.

I do have Winchester, Lapua, Hornady, and RP brass.

and CCI200 primers at the moment.

I have searched and searched the forum until my head hurts and am not finding what I want.

Varget is real good. Also look into N-140 or N-540.

4895/Varget/4064 won't get you there.

34-36gr of 4350 burn rate powder works well.

VV N560 will shine, pricey but good. N550 works well up to 69gr bullets.

Thanks Dan, out to hunt for some 4350 or 4831 powder. The guy that had the barrel before me was using the powerpro 2000MR which on my chart is showing slightly slower than 4064. I bet the slower powder and the 26" barrel should work out well.
