.22-250 from Lapua 6mm Creedmoor SRP ?

Good day all of your experts out there
What you think abaout my intention to cercover nice brass for 22-250 out of 6mm Creedmoor SRP brass?.
Since nobody makes SRP on 22-250 brass i'm want to try it with the 6mm Creedmoor which is now available from Lapua at decent price. My only doubt is if the Redding body type of 22-250 will be able to take down the body close to the shoulder. Many thanks for any useful advice

The upper portion of the case should size down just fine with some Imperial Wax. Where you may have trouble is near the base. The 22-250 chamber shows to measure .467 at the 200 mark. The Creedmoor chamber shows to be .470, so the brass may be larger in that area and your die may not take it down far enough.

Thanks lot for your advice , i didn't realized the difference in the base area at my first look of them

Ive got some Peterson 22 Creed SRP brass coming for my 22-250AI. The chamber has a web of 468. The Peterson is 467 at web so will be giving that a shot.

Got some old forming dies 30-06 to 243 Winchester. This was a lot of years ago, but I attempted to make 22-250 out of my 243 brass. The resulting brass had a smaller internal capacity than off the shelf 22-250. Never shot it and made it out of old military brass. Sounds like a fun little time burner. If the county goes the direction that it seems to be pointed in, these kinds of projects may be back in style. Have videos of people re-building fired primers and people used to make bullets out of spent rimfire cases. Future generations may need to look backwards to go forward.

If available i do prefere SRP due to much better ES and SD at all, additionaly the case life with proper annealing cycle is even longer . I really can't understand why nobody offers the .22-250 brass with the small primer ,Lapua is far behind of this concept but hoffenly Peterson will help as varmint shooters soon.
