22-250 and Trail Boss=FUN

I tried 12 grains of trail boss under a 50 grain v-max and its like I have a new rifle. I know this is nothing new I just wanted to share my experience. Accuracy wasn't great and bullet drop at 100 yards was about 2 1/2 inches....This is the first time I tried at and for turtles and rabbits I think this will be fun. Seems also the barrel barely got warm after 15 rounds fired about 30-45 seconds apart. As always thanks for a great website, endless source of information and everyone is always professional and kind.....Thank you.

Cool, I have played with a 222 and 223 using IMR 4759 shooting about 2200 Ft/sec. I was trying to get around the hornet velocity. I was first looking for a cheaper round to plink with at short range but realized it is the bullet that drives the cost. Now you need to work on the accuracy, keep up the fun work. I did build a wildcat that is smaller than the 221 fireball bigger than the Hornet. The case was using about 12 or 13 grains of powder. Named it the 22 Beach, I chambered an Adams and Bennet 14 twist barrel. I have too many projects as I did shoot it but about 20 to 30 times trying to work up a load then pulled the barrel and started working on a 223 F-class gun for 600 yds.

I download a Swift with I4227 for hornet velocity, and Unique for 22 mag velocity. Both shoot one hole at 50 yards. 40 grain Vmax does a number on gray squirrels.
