22-243 Load Data wanted...

I had posted about this once before but can not seem to acheive what I want out of my 22-243 Win. I have been loading it with RL-25. Using CCI 200 primers. I have played with different powder charges and the best I've come up with is shooting about 2-3" groups @ 100 yards. I am using 75 grain A-max's also. Also my COL is 2.7550". Is this too long? Any longer then this the bullet starts to hit the rifelings. I also feel very little powder slop in the case ? Anyways, I would like to hear from you guys that shoot this round and get some perticulars from people..Thanks a lot. Oh Yeah, I have tried powder charges starting from 45 grains up to 48 grains. OR should I change to a different powder maybe like RL-22?

22-243 AI, 22-243 middlestead, or the 22 cheetah are all improved cases.
you can start low with these loadings 4 to 6 grains less for starters.
Or even use 22-250 improved loads which will be light loads for you.

I saw your posts before, and have never owned one, but Hodgdon had load data in the #27 Data Manual from 1998 for comparable cartridges.

220 Jaybird--necked down 243 Win, neck length .300", shoulder angle 35 degrees, base to shoulder 1.55", trim length 2.000", diameter at start of shoulder .460". Most of the data is H4350 and H4831 for 1:10" twist, heaviest bullet 69gr Sierra.

22 CHeetah Mark II--necked down 308/243 Win with SMALL primer pocket, neck length .220", shoulder angle 28 degrees, base to shoulder 1.605", trim length 2.020", diameter at shoulder .450". Case capacity was supposed to exceed the 220 Swift by 10%. All of data is H380 and H4350 for 1:16" twist, heaviest bullet 55gr Sierra SP.

The only listing of powder burn rates I can find shows RL22 slightly slower than H4831, it doesn't show RL25, but it must be even slower. As someone posted earlier, maybe RL25 is too slow.

Are you interested in any of this data?
