I am considering getting one of these rests for SR BR and was wondering if anyone has used one and how easy/quick you find it going from the record to the sighter & back............Thank You

Regards

Having used Farley's, I question the ability to rest your hand on the benchtop with this rest. The Farley allows you to rotate the joystick so that your hand anchors to the benchtop. My first few matches with a Farley were unimpressive. Then someone clued me in on rotating the joystick to anchor the hand .......and made a world of difference.

When I say "anchor", I mean that the meaty part of the bottom of the hand is absolutely flat to the bench, the wrist is fully supported. To me, the Farley, Seb, and Shadetree are the easiest to use. With this rest you have to do the X and Y with 2 different controls.....unless I am missing something. The 21st Century may allow you to maintain POA without maintaining a hold on the joystick, but to me, that defeats the purpose of a joystick rest. You want the ability to make subtle changes to POA as conditions change in real time.

I have been using a Lenzi for the last couple of years and have ZERO complaints. I DO like trying out new designs and thought if the vertical adjustment could be done smoothly & quickly I might like to give it a go.

Understand. Just my preference. However, as I understand it, Tony B. used the Farley without holding the joystick and it apparently worked well for his methodology.
