SOLD. to PFS. I have a BSA made by Birmingham small arms.

218 Bee someone put a Remington 22 caliber barrel on it and it's not stamped.

Is there much demand for the action?

It's for sale if anyone is interested in it.

Someone needs to make a chamber cast.
I don’t know how a centerfire caliber on a rim fire barrel would wor -IF that is what it is.
Likely not a rimfire rifle. These were chambered in 310 Cadet, a low power centrefire. The original rifle these were based on was the 303 British and in the 1890's, a black powder load. I think that the 310 was smokeless - certainly ones that I have seen were. Many of the rifles were re-chambered in low pressure calibres - Hornet, 218 and 222. The rimfire Martini's could be converted to Hornet quite easily. The firing pin was bushed in the action to move to the barrel centre and the original barrel re -chambered.

The 303 Martini was the service rifle of the British at the turn of the century and used in several wars, notably South Africa (Boer War), and also saw service with most (all?) Commonwealth forces. They are fairly common in Australia and New Zealand and were replaced by the Lee series of bolt action rifles.

I remember someone turning up at the club with a 303 Martini and a pile of old ammo, wrapped in newspaper. It certainly taught one to follow through - as the delay twixt trigger and ignition was a thing to behold! All the primers pierced. Thankfully no-one lost an eye, or stopped laughing for some time. Younger and foolish perhaps or just old and reckless.

I just sold one yesterday that was originally made by Greener and turned into a snazzy little varmint rifle by P.O. Ackley chambered in .219 Zipper. They are cool little guns!

Chuckshooter,
Those rifles are absolutely beautiful! what calibers? My brother has a two of these with Unertl scopes. Classic!

only five in the picture but, I have seven. one is a .20 ackley hornet, three are .20 killer bee's and three are .20 rimmed vartarg's. someday I'll take a new picture. they all have 6.5x20x50 leupolds with the varmint reticle. my first one got just a plain stock, after that I started putting nicer stocks on them. they are as could as any gun in colony critter shooting. I have a self imposed moratorium on any new firearm, other wise I would definitely be interested in this one.

A friend of mine had one of these chambered in 22KHornet. It wouldn't shoot MOA even after he put my old Weaver K10 on it. He used a funnel with a little scoop for reloading those little cases, and he wasn't going to change his ways.
I got to shoot it a few times and it was a slick little rifle.

This rifle is a 218 Bee. I shot 20 rds thru it at 50 yds and it shot goof. The ammo was made in the 50's

Still for sale 500.00 shipped
