215 Hybrid in .308 win

Have anyone tried .30 Berger 215 gr Hybrid in .308 win?

My F-TR chamber with .168" fb , 1-30 can shoot this projectile?

That's a little short. I use .280" freebore with 230 Hybrids and the 215 is .080" shorter. I would expect that ~.200" would be appropriate.

@sleepygator ; How long of COAL that you seat with those heavy projectiles?

Wow. I currently use 175 & 185 LRBT as main projectiles but looking for better BC.

So, 185 Hybrid will proper for .168 fb?

I am seating them at 3.120" with a .015" jump. The 185 Hybrid should be fine in your freebore. It's a very good balance between recoil and B.C.


*** Correction *** The above COAL is for 230 Hybrid OTM bullets. 230 Hybrid Targets are 3.185 with the same jump. Sorry.
