215 Berger Hybrid, 308 Varget load

Got my bullets in and plenty of varget. Bullet will be seated long just above the neck junction. Shillen 30" 10 twist throated long.

Anyone use Varget with these?
if so would your share your starting load and what you ended up with.

haven't used them,but the guy's over at snipershide has used the 208-10 with varget before.I think their loads ened up around 43gn,so I would think that 41-2 would be a great start.With your 30" barrel you should be able to get past their max loads.

I don't know what OAL you intend to start at,but I ran QL for fun and this is what I came up with.

OAL 3.150
41.5 grains Varget
30" barrel Timing node 1.532
Pressure is moderate, powder burn is 100%, BE is 36.4
FPS is 2474

I have a buddy that just started shooting this combo and at 800 yards 3 weeks ago shot a 294 out of 300 on a 600 F/Class target with no spotters. I do not know his load, but he built his rifle around this bullet. Ray Bowman chambered a 32" Brux for him. IT WILL SHOOT!
